Classic Battlestar Galactica   (2006)
Search for 'Classic Battlestar Galactica' on eBay

Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment

Publication Date: September 2006 - April 2007

Country: United States

Language: English

Notes:
Entirely separate from other iterations of the original Battlestar Galactica's comic book history, this 21st century adaptation of the 70s television series was at least initially rooted firmly within the timeline experienced by television viewers. In this respect, it's closest in spirit to the Marvel series, though perhaps done with a more serious edge.

Artists have gone back to the original Ralph McQuarrie designs for the television show for inspiration and, prior to the release of the first issue, announced a desire to delve more deeply into the psyche of characters than stories in any other medium have done to date. The first arc was planned as a detailed exploration of Apollo and Boomer, while the second arc was meant to gradually bring the full cast into greater relief.
