Publisher: Ace Comics (Marvel)
Publication Date: May 1993 - October 1993
Country: United States
Language: English
Notes:
This title is based on the comic book drawn by "Bob McKay", a character played by Bob Newhart on the short-lived TV series "Bob". The title reflects the TV series conflict between McKay and his publisher (ACE Comics) over the image of McKay's old character "Mad-Dog"--McKay wants to preserve the classic version while the publisher wants to update the character. Done in a flip-book fashion, the title features a "90s-look" story drawn by Gordon Purcell and a "silver-age look" story drawn by Ty Templeton. ACE Comics, for this series, is a fictional imprint, having nothing to do with the real company that operated in the 1930s and 1940s.
