An occasional, irregular supplement to Doctor Who Magazine. Increasingly, as the main DWM began to be used to cover news about the Russell T. Davies revival of Doctor Who, information about the classic series was marginalized from the pages of the magazine. The numbered Special Editions were used to collect information about so-called "past Doctors".
These "Special Editions" should not be confused with un-numbered seasonal specials, as in the "1983 Winter Special" or "1990 Summer Special", which can be found under the title, Doctor Who Magazine Special.
Aside from being the home of the collected Ninth Doctor adventures, they are not a particularly rich source of sequential art. Confusingly, the issues are much better known among fans by their titles, as they appear to be one-shots. Unless you read the fine print of the indica, you would likely not know they are part of a numbered series.
