Publisher: First Comics

Publication Date: May 1983 - May 1991

Country: United States

Language: English

Awards:
  • 1989 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards - Nominee - Best Continuing Series

Title Continuity:
Nexus (1983) #80 continues to Nexus: The Origin (1992) #1

Notes:
Nexus Volume 2. Now in color, though three prior magazine-sized issues were published in black and white by Capital Comics (Vol. 1). The first six issues were published by Capital Comics. Publisher changes to First Comics with issue 7. First would later reprint the B&W issues as a graphic novel. Nexus is the story of a man who has discovered one day that he has super powers as well as painful nightmares about mass murderers and if he does'nt use his new powers to kill specific mass murderers, his nightmares will increase in severity. In essence, he kills in self defence. With thought provoking writing by Mike Baron and amazing art by Steve Rude Nexus, is one of the best and most under appreciated comic books of the last 25 years. It is filled with great action, realistic science fiction, believable and varied supporting characters, a great premise and surprising bursts of humor. If you've never read it before, do so now. If you've read it before, give it a second chance, you won't be dissappointed !
