First Appearance: Green Lantern #141 A team of freedom fighters in the Vegan Star-System, formed to oppose the tyrant Citadel. It was on the planet Euphorix where the mutant Primus and his beloved, princess Kalista, first formed the idea of combining the forces of rebels from all the oppressed Vegan worlds. Later, Primus ended up on the Citadel’s Prison Planet, where he met the awe-inspiring warrior named Tigorr. Joining forces, the two leaders initiated a revolt, freeing 200 Citadel prisoners. Many of them joined up with Primus and Tigorr to form their rebel group – the Omega Men. Shortly thereafter, they managed to flee to Earth and establish a base from which they could plan their revenge. After encountering heroes such as Hal Jordan and Superman, the Omega Men joined forces with the New Teen Titans to return to the Vegan system and face the Citadel. Although winning a temporary victory, they soon had to fight the tyranny time and again. Since then, the Omega Men have become a constant power factor in the Vegan System, sometimes fighting from below, sometimes being regarded as more of an official "police force", battling the threats of the Citadel, Harry Hokum, the Psions, and Lobo, and also facing internal conflicts and betrayal. When the Dominators started their invasion of Earth, they first eliminated many of their potential opponents and killed several Omega Men including Primus. However, the Omegans soon re-formed, and were last seen led by the Tamaranean warrior Ryand’r during a clash with the Titans.
