Notes:
There is a bit of ambiguity about the name of this story. According to the last panel of "The Star Beast" in issue #25 of Doctor Who Weekly, the upcoming tale was to be called "Devil Spawn". This was confirmed in the table of contents of Doctor Who Weekly #26. However, in the opening panel of the strip itself, the title is obviously "The Dogs of Doom", underneath a caption that reads, "THE DEVIL SPAWNED THEM -- BUT WHO CONTROLLED THEM?"

This confusion probably only worried readers at the time of initial publication, though. In modern reference guides—and, indeed, the Doctor Who Graphic Novel reprint—this story is known as "The Dogs of Doom".
