From this modest opening would come a series of additional appearances, a self-titled comic, appearances in prose fiction, certain obvious similarities in the Ninth Doctor's televised relationship with Daleks, and even a UK pop-charted theme song. In 2006, a fan-made CGI-animated version of the story is expected.
