HIGH-QUALITY COMPILATION - usern789

I find myself trudging through a lot of anthologies. A few good stories, then several bad, then some average, maybe another good one.

Not so with DHP Best Of #1! I liked just about every one of the stories. It was "book-ended" by two Paul Chadwick (creator of Concrete) comics plus a bonus Chadwick Concrete story in the middle AND a painted bi-fold cover by the creator. And that's just the beginning. I was pleasantly introduced to Michael T. Gilbert's tongue-in-cheek "Mr. Monster". I found myself really liking the throwback to EC-era comics. And there are too many great stories to mention in this anthology. Just buy it.

I recommend highly for the Dark Horse fan.

Notes: all stories are B&W. These are from the mid-1980s, which I think was a Golden Age for Dark Horse.
