Arrogance - JohnW
The sheer arrogance of these guys! To think they could just walk into the Skrull capital, make threats, blow stuff up and just walk away! And without any back-up plan or hope of being rescued! There's a point where arrogance starts looking like stupidity. At the end of this issue, in the silence on their ship, the heroes understand just how stupidly they acted and just how lucky they are to be alive. But as smart as these men are supposed to be, how overpowering must their sense of superiority have been to overcome their intellect?
