For the definition of character bashing see Spike's portrayal by @ChristosGage in the latest issue of A&F#20.

Plus Angel gives Spike Harmony's phone number and Spike uses her for sex. But being sexist is less than Angel as a child molester. In issue #1 Angel bit a little girl and later he explained to Willow that vampire bite stimulates brain's pleasure center or something.

As for the art there's some general blonde bloke that wears blacknail polish and a long coat, but he's chain-smoking probably to differentiate from the other general bloke who's hair sticks up instead
