Reviews - Avengers: The Old Order Changeth! - DVD-ROM

A great digital reading experience. - MindSpike
Continuing from the Heroes Reborn story, this DVD-ROM collects the entire run of The Avengers (1998) as well as the first 27 issues of New Avengers (2005). Crossover issues are not included in the collection, such as the story arc "Live Kree or Die!" that ran through this magazine, Captain America, Iron Man, and Quicksilver, or the "Avengers Disassembled" story that bled into virtually every other Marvel magazine. Even so, this is a very complete and readable collection. My only downchit is that it does not include "Avengers Finale" to bridge the 1998 and 2005 series, and that it includes issue 27 of New Avengers without completing that story arc. These are minor quibbles to an excellent reader's collection. The PDFs are high-quality, two-page spread scans of the original material exactly as published, and read quite easily on my laptop and desktop screens. The PDFs are DRM-free, which means I can copy to my hard-drive for easier reading, or to my iPhone. The two-page spread does not display well on the iPhone.
