Synopsis
|
Metallo comes to Cliff Steele's ranch for certain Lexcorp parts intended for him, choking Benjy until he learns their new location. After having his body ripped in half in the previous issue, Cliff tests his new body until he trashes Arani's machines, which also happens when the junior members are training and Val gets distracted by a kiss from Joshua. The crusade against the Doom Patrol has grabbed enough attention to rate a news spot in which Arvid Reynolds complains that municipal insurance has doubled since the Doom Patrol came to Kansas City. Larry goes to Belle Reve, believing that Reactron may be able to cure his radiation sickness that keeps him bandaged. Metallo takes control of Cliff Steele's parts designed for him, and between Steele's brain and the other DP members, they can't fight him off. Clark Kent is in Smallville visiting Lana Lang, and departs when he hears a report about Metallo on the radio, discovering the result.
