2011-05-22 10:56:31 rio Notes OK, get ready 'cause this won't be easy! Altough the cover claims this is issue #17, it is in actuality ( according to Marvel), number 3 of The Hands Of Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu. Why 3? Well, Shang-Chi actually began in issue #15 of Special Marvel Edition which ran up to issue #16 and instead of making this issue his own premiere mag at number 1, they continued ( for reasons only Marvel can explain), with the next sequential number of 17 except with the new title of Hands Of Shang-Chi, Master Of Kung Fu. Therefore, this REALLY is Master Of Kung Fu number 1 not number 3 as Marvel claims which really is number 17 from here on,...oh, forget it! Just enjoy the mag!! First appearance of Black Jack Tarr. Special cameos by Englehart, Starlin, and Milgrom as muggers that Shang defeats. OK, get ready 'cause this won't be easy! 2008-11-15 18:24:07 Jobim27 Synopsis On Shang Chi's new path, he seeks out sir Denise Nayland Smith's advise. He follows Smith to his Long Island Sound mansion, later called 'murder mansion' because of it's sophisticated hi-tech defense mechanisms. In the process, he fights Black Jack Tarr and gains Smiths trust.
