Letters Column: Mysterious Messages To The META-ZONE

Shade tells Sude that he will cooperate only on the terms that Sude kill those who framed him. Sgt. Barak and Agent Loron create a distraction, shoot Shade loose, and Shade topples Sude. Mellu's mother escapes and detonates the tunnel. Col. Lopak tries to instill in Mellu that Shade and Barak, who followed down the tunnel are dead. Mellu's mother falls into a lucid coma shortly thereafter.

The followers of Sude reorganize as pupils of Dr. Z. Z., while Khaos, who betrayed Sude last issue, resorts to terrorism to attempt to get the government to make him supreme ruler of the Meta-Zone, but President Olon, with whom Kross is now directly working, will not assuage to him.

Colonel Lopak tries to promulgate the idea that Rac Shade is Khaos, but Shade tries to thwart Khaos's attack on Olon, so he and Kross know this is impossible. Khaos escapes, and leaves Shade in a coma with skin as black as ash.
