Letters Column: Mysterious Messages to the Meta-Zone

Rac Shade is inadvertantly released from prison during a freak accident in a riot that transports numerous prisoners to the Zero-Zone. He was imprisoned for treason and uses an illegal M-Vest to try to clear his name. He was working in the Earth-Zone when Kempo got involved with the mafia and sold him out. The M-vest gives Shade a force field and the ability to alter the size and shape of parts of his body in the perceptions of those around him.

Mellu, Rac's ex-girlfriend who blames him for the crippling of her parents and wants to see him negated (executed), goes to work for Wizor, who runs the Occult Research Center (ORC), a front for capturing Meta-Zone criminals in the Earth-Zone, which keeps the Meta-Zone a secret through disseminating information about it as occult truth that most will find implausible.
