Maxwell Lord has decided to get the team back together in order to start a superteam that people can call for help, like the fire department of metacrime. He hits old members of the Justice League International/Europe, first starting with Ted Kord, who initially declines because of his heart condition but is forced into it despite his protests. The rest are recruited alternatively by Max and L-Ron, easilly getting Fire, Captain Atom, Elongated Man and Booster Gold. However, they run into problems when Billy Batson flat out turns them down. But, they get lucky when Mary Marvel decides to take his place, no matter what Captain Marvel thinks.
