Synopsis:
First Story: The issue opens with the X-man (Cyclops, Angel, Beast and Iceman) responding to professor X’s summons and demonstrating the powers, that each has individually. We are then introduced to Jean Grey. Cape Citadel is attack and the X-men are sent to defeat another mutant. First their foe uses the citadels own defenses against them the X-men finally succeed in driving him off, only to menace them another day.

Second Story: The X-men are summoned by the Professor to discuss another evil mutant that has “appeared” on the scene. After the update, they engage in some training to evaluate how they work together with their newest member, Marvel Girl. The first encounter was a loss but the X-men were ready the next go round. The Professor turns of the mutant’s power and the X-men capture him also dispatching a squad of thugs.
