Notes:
This issue reprints three imaginative stories dating to 1961 and '62, the waning hours of the Atlas Comics era, illustrated by three shining lights of the coming Marvel Age: Jack Kirby, Don Heck and Dick Ayers.
The "Monster in the Iron Mask" features what could be seen as prototypes of (1) Dr. Doom, (2) Rick Jones, and (3) Lockjaw (of the Inhumans).
Synopsis: [Opening Caption] "Have you ever longed for immortality? Sure you have! All of us do at one time or another! Well, this is the story of a man who came closer to achieving that goal than anybody ... poor guy!"
Notes: A five-page story that first saw print in JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #74 (November 1961).
