Synopsis:
Creating a twenty-four page comics story is a painstaking process that usually takes months. Scott McCloud, the most respected theorist in comics, dared cartoonists everywhere to complete a 24 page story in a single day.

Hundreds of cartoonists have taken up the challenge, ranging from a nine year old girl to some of the biggest names in the comics field. The results can be energetic, insightful, and have surprising grace. Here, McCloud picks nine of the best examples of what can happen when you set aside the planning, stalling, and reworking of the normal creation process and just work on pure creativity and caffeine.
