Not really a "standard" comic issue, but an over-sized 10X15-inch issue with a color exterior and b/w interior. An anthology of comic strips, it has perhaps greater commonality with the so-called "British comic" than with US "comic books" of today.
Notes: The artist for the New Comics run is somewhat in doubt. Several sources suggest it's Al Stahl, while others indicate writer Lindermayer was also the artist. When published, this story featured a character owned by Universal Pictures. As of 2006, it features a character owned by The Walt Disney Company. As things stand now, therefore, this is the first story to use a Disney character, although neither Walt himself nor his company had any part in making it—other than creating the character. One would imagine that if the story were to ever be republished, Disney would now have to okay it.
