Odd-sized digest format, so as to fit in a standard DVD box. Reprints three seminal stories from Batman's history. Oddly, despite having the tagline of "stories that inspired the movie", it doesn't include a story from Miller's Year One work, which was ostensibly a major influence on the scriptwriters.

Synopsis: Commissioner Gordon learns of the murder of local chemical king, Mr. Lambert, and quickly rushes to the scene with Bruce Wayne (who was bored and apparently had nothing better to do). Mr. Lambert's business partner Mr. Rogers was next on the hit-list, and his other business partner Mr. Stryker turns out to be the one behind it all! The Bat-Man rushes onto the scene and stops Stryker in time, but unfortunately knocks Stryker into a pit of acid.
Synopsis: When Carmine Falcone's nephew is murdered in his bathtub it's Batman, Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Dent vs. Gotham's criminal underworld with Catwoman prowling about as well.
