As the world around them erupts into chaos, a small group of Infinitors agree to meet with Rex Tyler in an attempt to get his son, Rick, into a career in medicine. Unfortunately, as the crisis continues around them, Rick is forced to follow in his father's footsteps in order to save civilians, including the recently blinded Beth Chapel!

Beth Chapel gains her night vision in this issue and doesn't officially appear as Dr. Midnight until next issue.
