This story has two running plots - one set in the modern day (between between issues #8 & 9) and one set between Infinity Inc. (1984) #11 & 12. Icicle (01), Billy O'Dare and Star-Spangled Kid (01) appear only in the past. Ted and Jack Knight appear in both plots.
Infinity Inc. (Brainwave, Fury, Jade, Nuklon, Obsidian, Power Girl, Scarlet Scarab), the JSA (Dr. Fate, Dr. Mid-Nite, Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Hourman, Sandman, Wildcat), the Nazis and the Seven Soldiers of Victory (Crimson Avenger, Shining Knight, Stripsey, Vigilante, Wing, Winged Victory) appear only in a brief flashback.
