Synopsis: Tyrone can not adjust to normal life and worries that he will loose his close relationship with Tandy. He decides to follow superstitious rumors to a novelty shop that offers patrons their hearts’ desires. The proprietor immediately presents the troubled teenager with the Obsidian Cube. The small, black object will grant the blackest wishes for which Mr. Jip will accept future payment. Ty returns to his studies, but he can not seem to keep up and refuses his partner’s help. He sadly watches Tandy enjoy the activities of normalcy. Overwhelming frustration and the risk of loosing his closet friend are too much. He succumbs to the temptation of the Obsidian Cube and once again becomes Cloak. Tandy will not return to their old life and leaves him in tears and disgust.
Synopsis: Doctor Strange meditates in the Lamasery of the Ancient One and reads his mentor’s diary. The master worried that his prized pupil may his greatest failure, and with a growing feeling that he is responsible for the rising evil around the world, the Sorcerer Supreme wonders if that fear is justified. An old foe takes the moment of doubt to reveal himself. Kaluu was released from his mystic prison with the Book of Vishanti’s destruction, but he understands that the other ancient and vile forces where also set free. He watched the student of his former nemesis plunges into despair and offers to teach the fallen hero how to harness the dark magic to protect the world. Doctor Strange refuses to become this former enemies’ apprentice, but he will fight by his side.
