Visiting the son of his "body donor", the Weird explains his history and how he came to Earth. Coming from another dimension, the Weird is a Zarolatt, a being of pure energy that exists in a one-sided symbiotic relationship with the Macrolatts. When the Macrolatts learn of the existence of Earth, they set out to conquer it. Seeking to stop them and to gain his freedom, the Weird escapes to hunt down the Macrolatt's human counterpart, known to him as "The Jason". Returning his son home, the Weird begins his search for Jason, but is interrupted by a battle with Superman. Matching him evenly, the Weird uses unorthodox methods to shake the Man of Steel before he unwittingly reveals that he is a walking atom bomb!
