Angela Hernandez enters the empty Holy Ghost Church to confess. Cloak and Dagger secretly listen to her as she explains to God the deepening troubles her boyfriend places himself. Little Caesar turned to petty crime in an effort to build a better life. During a break-in, he stumbled upon military contractors working on a weapon that replicate Cyclop’s optic blast. The young tuff grabs the device and plans a much bigger heist. Angela loves Caesar and prays for a way to stop him before it’s too late. The vigilantes believe they can help and rush to stop a robbery. They manage to stop Caesar’s gang from holding up an armored car. The would-be villain sees his future in Cloak’s dark dimension and decides his love for Angela is more important. He turns himself over to authorities.

Doctor Strange and Rintrah arrive at the Lamasery of the Ancient One to find somebody already camping in its empty halls. It is a lost American tourist that both master and apprentice believe may be a trap. The Sorcerer Supreme leads the guest to his old room where he is ambushed by the Lord of the Thirty Infernos, Erlik Khan. The demon gains the upper hand in an intense battle forcing Doctor Strange to call upon the Defenders for help. Erlik Khan smiles with approval and disappears with an ominous message. Raising the dead is one of the final steps to becoming a black magician.
