The Gaffer cannot understand why Nick Fury believes that he is the Super Patriot, the revelation of the previous issues final panel, but can speculate on its psychological significance.

Fury goes through several assassination attempts as he goes through his daily routine (hence the title) before Karl Kraus, the lead targeting him for killing Robert Rickard (as seen in issue #12) inadvertently reveals himself as a Hydra agent, clearing Fury's name.
