Horatio is aproached by fanatical members of the Elvonic Order to eliminate General Loomis of the Web. They fear that the gravity well he is constructing could endanger the solar system. Nexus declines to help them, but finds he must meet with Loomis anyway.

Loomis was working with Oglethorpe, and was partially responsible for the Periwinkle disaster, causing a planet to fall into a black hole. Nexus regrets his duty, for he feels that Loomis is an honorable, decent man, seeking a solution to the Web's energy needs.

Before he dies, Loomis asks Nexus to look after his three daughters. Nexus agrees. When they hear of their father's death, they swear revenge.

Reprinted/Collected in:
Nexus Archives (2005) HC vol. 04
Nexus Omnibus (2012) TPB vol. 02

The Loomis Daughters would go on to plague Nexus in the coming years, most notably in the limited series The Next Nexus (1989)
