Archangel and Stacy X fly to Zurich to investigate an incident involving A.R.M. militants and a new found mutant. After a brief standoff, X-Corps members arrive to detain the mutant and fly off before the situation escalates.

Chamber visits X-Corps headquarters in Paris were he is reacquainted with his old teammates from his Generation X days. Banshee explains his goal of supporting peace in the mutant populace even if it means using excessive force. Husk and Monet express some skepticism about decisions that Banshee might be making.

Iceman confronts Avalanche, Blob, and Surge who are having drinks in a bar. Surge leaves as Avalanche explains that they have been deputized, granting them immunity from answering to the X-Men.

Nightcrawler talks to Banshee about rising tensions from the pro-humanity militants known as A.R.M. questioning him on the possibility of his decisions leading to potential warfare. Afterwards Chamber tells Kurt of a rumor that there is something mysterious underneath the X-Corps complex and they discuss the possibility of something more sinister behind the scene. Nightcrawler asks Chamber to try to find more info and to be sneaky.

Surge infiltrates a gathering of A.R.M. members and electrocutes everybody in the room while Magneto, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Toad infiltrate X-Corps H.Q....

A long-running error in the series' indicia continues with this issue; although most of Marvel's titles are dated two months ahead of their publication date, Uncanny slipped backward a month. Although this issue was published in Feb. '02, and should be dated April '02, its indicia is labeled as March '02. This "lost month" error continues until Uncanny #405 in '02.
