Letters Column: Swamp Things

Swamp Thing reanimates the body of soldier Alex Holland, a fallen new recruit with Sgt. Rock's Easy Company. Easy is about to end their tour of duty when they are ordered to attack a cattle factory. Holland is convinced that there is something more mystical afoot, and, abandoning the Holland body and returning to Swamp Thing's form, discoveres that Anton Arcane is there making his Un-Men and processing them for food.

Arcane, who claims to have influenced Hitler, has had an agent collect artifacts for him, including the Spear of Destiny (which Hitler used to keep superheroes susceptible to magic out of Germany). The newest acquisition is something Arcane claims was in Swamp Thing's hands some 20 years earlier in the Jagdstaffel of Hans von Hammer.

One page epilogue is an Invasion tie-in.
