Hal Jordan has been re-instated as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814.

Carol Ferris has entered herself into a sanitarium. Hal says to her that he wants to start his own air transportation business in Montoya Bay, and he wants her help.

Elsewhere, Evil Star, Goldface, Piston, Jocasta, and Repo, all villains released from their prisons by Appa Ali Apsa, are furious that Hal has returned to Earth.

In "Green Lantern (1990) #18" Goldface revealed to Guy Gardner that all the villains held on Oa in sciencells were released by Appa Ali Apsa.
