Dudley Soames awakened from his coma and learned it was impossible to ever be "straight" again. After stopping two people trying to shoot the man-bat down, Nightwing visited Francie Langstrom. He promised that he'd bring her husband - Dr. Kirk Langstrom - the Man-Bat - home. He and Man-Bat were both shot down with tranquilizer by Deathstroke.
