Hal Jordan intercepts John Stewart fearing that he will enter into a fatal battle with Star Sapphire.

Flicker, hoping to capture the Lanterns and Star Sapphire, is defeated in a joint effort between the Lanterns and the Tebans, led by Kreon.

Star Sapphire is defeated by the Green Lantern Corps. Together, John and Hal are able to coax Carol Ferris away from the Star Sapphire persona.

Tomar-Tu and Kreon are recruited into the Green Lantern Corps.

This issue marks the first appearances of Kreon and Tomar-Tu as Green Lanterns. They both have appeared in prior issues.

Carol Ferris had not appeared in continuity since "Action Comics Weekly #605." She had appeared, out of continuity, in the "Emerald Dawn" mini-series.
