Synopsis:
It is a time between the DS9 episodes "Heart of Stone" and "Facets". Nog has not yet faced his Starfleet Academy entrance examinations, and so is still trying to prove himself a worthy potential applicant to Sisko. When asked, he readily agrees to serve as escort to a young Klingon ambassador to Feringinar. On his homeworld again, Nog takes the Klingon to a casino, where the two share a moment of cross-cultural exchange, forging a friendship born of mutual respect.
