Synopsis: Wolverine reflects on a woman he met many years ago in Berlin, 1943. During the war he had fallen in love with a young woman, but when he attempted to assassinate a Nazi scientist with the aid of the woman he was betrayed by her. Dr. Maier filters in poison gas to kill him, in order to spite the woman. He then betrays her further by shooting her instead of releasing her sisters. He promises Maier that one day he will hunt him down and kill him. The last panel shows Wolverine walking away from Maier's gravestone with the locket Catharina gave him draped over it.
Synopsis: James Gilray believes that his wife, Brigit, is cheating on him and has hired a private detective to find proof to rest his mind at ease. After tailing her for five days, he finds Brigit with Doop but tells her husband that she's not sleeping with another man. But Brigit leaves a note saying that she's running away with the green guy. The detective gives James the address of the hotel, but instantly regrets his meddling and takes off after him. Chandler gets to the room and punches out James, reaching out towards the thing he's fallen in love with... Doop. The two ride off into the distance.
Synopsis: Cannonball has moved in with his girlfriend while his apartment is being fumigated. However, he grows suspicious of Lila and her former thieving ways. He follows her just to be sure that she hasn't lapsed back into the habit. When he accuses her of stealing a present she was working double to pay for, she blows up at him, explaining the situation and giving him the cold shoulder from that point on. Cannonball was almost ready to give up when all of a sudden, an alien appears to take back a guitar she stole from him. Sam fights him, pointing out that he bought her that guitar. He tells him to get lost and he returns to his time, dejected. Finally, Cannonball gets the girl and they live happily ever after.
