Letters Column: Dear Deadpool

Agent Preston takes a little journey through Deadpool's subconscious while he is unconscious until he wakes up to a bum poking him with a stick, and then rejoins Franklin's ghost and Michael the necromancer in search of the Ancient One's stronghold, which happens to be burried under Rykers penitentiary. Michael then intentionally gets himself arrested so he can safely teleport the others into the Ancient One's library. While Michael searches for the spells he needs, Deadpool runs off to take care of the next victim on the hit list that Vetis provided.

Deadpool pretends that he is drowning on a New Jersey beach so that Artie the lifeguard would come to his aid. As he tries to drown the lifeguard, he realizes that Artie can breath under water. Not only that, he has the power to communicate with the creatures of the sea. In this case he summons sharks to maul Deadpool, but has a change of heart and decides to save Wade instead. Thats when Wade literally stabs Artie in the back and hands him over to Vetis.

Vetis explains that he needs to consume these souls so he might have a chance of overthrowing Mephisto, but Deadpool is aware that eventually Vetis will come for his soul as well. He tells Michael to make a deal with Mephisto and rat out Vetis. Michael doubts his ability to conjure such a powerful demon, so Deadpool sends him to hell by slashing his throat...
