Synopsis: Dr. Darkk kidnaps a strangely alluring woman known as Talia, whom the Batman must then rescue. Successful, he lets his guard down long enough to require Talia to return the favor. She shoots and kills Darkk to save the Batman's life--and to become an object of his affections.
Synopsis: The mysterious Talia introduced in Detective #411 is here seen to be more than she first appeared. Ra's al-Ghul, her father, breeches the Batcave after determining that Bruce Wayne was a worthy suitor for his daughter, now revealed to be Talia, and makes Bruce an offer he can refuse. He won't become the heir to the League of Assassins criminal empire. The rejection would lead to a long and unhealthy relationship between Batman and R'as.
Talia, by contrast, proves harder for Bruce to refuse. And thus a Shakespearean tragedy is born in the Batcave, with Bruce and R'as at each other's throats, with Talia caught firmly in the middle.
Robin tags along to be the bait for the elder al-Ghul's attention-grabbing scheme.
Synopsis: Ra's al Ghul's team of scientists have been developing a chemical that renders the metal Molybdenum-Five as weak as tinfoil. What these scientists do not know is that this chemical turns into a deadly plague-bearer when exposed to open air! One of the scientists, Striss, steals the chemical for himself with the intent of making a profit. Talia rushes off after the man while Ra's enlists Batman to save Talia and stop the chemical from wreaking toxic havoc on the world.
Synopsis: A researcher, Dr. Mason Sterling has been murdered by his research partner and his brain has been removed! With a lead from Talia, Batman finds and questions the murdering researcher, only to have Talia "accidentally" inject him with an amnesia serum before he revealed details about his partner's brain removal. Batman follows Talia to an underwater facility where Ra's has found a way to question the brain with the assistance of Dr. Moon. A shocking twist at the end of the story leaves Batman baffled and frustrated.
Synopsis: Batman has Bruce Wayne declared dead: a cover which will allow Batman to be out of the country while on his next task. Batman enlists the assistance of an old enemy by the name of Matches Malone to help track down Ra's al Ghul. Through a series of twists, Batman plans to seek out Ra's al Ghul with a motley crew of helpers: Matches Malone, a reluctant scientist, and a superstitious bandit.
Synopsis: Batman (and Matches Malone), Doctor Blaine, Lo Ling, and a new partner Molly Post search out Ra's al Ghul in Switzerland. Upon finding a World War II bunker, Doctor Blaine uses his expertise to find a way inside. The newly formed team enters to find Talia and a deceased Ra's al Ghul. Batman takes Talia into custody, but not before Talia presses a secret button in the room - a secret button which lowers Ra's al Ghul into a Lazarus Pit...and revives him!
Synopsis: Rising from the Lazarus Pit, Ra's al Ghul pursues Batman and physically defeats him in a mountaintop duel. Ra's and Talia manage to escape via a hidden hovercraft, which Molly is able to stop using her skiing abilities. Molly is injured in the crash of the hovercraft, and Batman is left with a tough decision: chase after Ra's and Talia or seek medical aid for Molly. Eventually Batman tracks down Ra's and Talia in the desert and Batman is challenged to a sword fight with Ra's...to the death!
Synopsis: Batman is kidnapped by Ra's al Ghul and taken to sea aboard a large tanker. Here, Ra's al Ghul marries Batman and Talia by traditional methods of his native land. Batman escapes the vessel to track down Ra's and his research assistant, who plans to turn a large supply of diamonds to pure energy.

Synopsis: Continuing Detective Comics #489, Batman finds a truckload of explosives being shipped off by the League of Assassins and is forced into a confrontation with Lurk, who was originally sent to stop the truck and stop the Sensei's plans. With the help of the recovering geologist, Batman learns that the Sensei planned an assassination by earthquake on the religious leaders of the world, who happened to be having a meeting in Gotham City. Batman is able to evacuate the religious leaders in time, along with the help of Commissioner Gordon. Unfortunately, the Sensei had escaped into the mansion where the earthquake would strike. Ra's al Ghul appears on the scene, determined to stop the Sensei and Talia runs off with a drugged Batman.
