Synopsis:
After another fainting spell brought on by a seventh sense-induced premonition, Carol Danvers describes to Dr. Barnett that she saw herself as Ms. Marvel fighting the Vision on a bridge across Stormwind Canyon in upstate New York. There was a large truck on the bridge, and she had the feeling that the lives of twenty million people depended on the outcome of the fight.
Carol takes a taxi to Stark International where she intends to get a story for Woman magazine. While receiving a tour from Abe Klein, she sees the truck from her vision, and Klein explains that it’s a “super-truck” designed to transport chemicals or radioactive cargo. Its cargo today is classified, but Klein points out that the Vision is riding along just to be safe.
Back at home, Carol turns into Ms. Marvel and heads north, coming upon the super-truck on a road in the Adirondack Mountains. The Vision leaves the truck to battle Ms. Marvel, believing her intentions to be hostile. Both are unaware that MODOK is remotely observing their fight.
Ms. Marvel flies to the bridge over the canyon, realizing that if the truck’s deadly cargo was released there, prevailing winds would blow it across the most densely populated part of the country, killing twenty million people. She engages the Vision again and this time bests him by using her knowledge of Kree science to use the bridge’s power cables to create a field generator that stresses his immaterial form beyond endurance. With the Vision unconscious, Ms. Marvel attacks the truck, stopping it and locating a bomb built into its access hatch. She hurls it into the air as it explodes, leaving her open to be shot by the driver, who turns out to be a humanoid robot working for unknown forces. The Vision awakens in time to assist Ms. Marvel in incapacitating the robot, and both are left to wonder who it was working for and how long it had been infiltrating Stark International.
