Synopsis:
Joelle is on her way to Guatemala City with Gambit in tow, along with a life draining parasite relic attached to his ribs. She promises to have the parasite removed if he aids her an her quest through a temple of gods. Joelle claims that there is something about her life that she wishes she could change, and believes that there is something in the temple to help her do that. Using a map, they venture through the jungle, and when they find the temple it is almost completely buried. As they approach it they are ambushed by a swarm of spiders and manage to escape into the temple, which appears to be a little more modern than it should. Their map turns out to be inaccurate, but the relic tells Gambit which way to go. As they wander the corridors and discuss their relationship, they set off a trap that activates a bunch of mechanical tentacles, which they are able to escape with some effort and grappling. When they arrive to the shrine, the parasite leaves Gambit's body to go meet it's twin, which in effect seems to open a portal to a group of dragon like creatures, or as Gambit describes,"...the gods themselves."
