Synopsis:
The Wests call the police on a homeless man in their building after giving him a blanket to use. All of the residents get the notice that they are to be evicted for non-payment of rent. Wally speeds to the landlord's mansion and finds it all a big mistake, and the landlord gives him the $10 cash he has on him as an act of good faith. Wally soon loses his speed powers from lack of food, falls and injures his knee tearing his pants, and quickly gets mistaken for a bum, showing off his costume to get a quarter to call the JLI from a pay phone.
He soon finds himself with a group of homeless people, but is seen as an outsider until the man to whom he lent the blanket says he's a friend. He then discovers that the Pied Piper has been getting stale food for homeless people. Both are soon shot by a Durlan, and the Invasion has begin.
