The Avengers Black Knight, Doctor Druid, She-Hulk, Tony Stark and Thor donate the site of the Avengers Mansion to the city in a public event amidst the audience, four shadowed characters conspire against them. Later, they reveal their motivation and their goal as they discover X-Factor's base: an unprovoked Thor breaks into the Ship with only Cyclops, Iceman and Marvel Girl to oppose him, the kids being locked in for security. As X-Factor tries to obtain some explanation for Thor's irruption, they are outnumbered by the other Avengers and a lord Zano before the kids can help: they keep arguing with the Ship on whether it should unlock them or not, for their intervention will prove crucial. Elsewhere, a cloaked character makes a deal with a devil from another dimension.
