Letters Column: The Spider's Web

Spider-Man encounters Slyde, who wears a speed skaters uniform covered with a chemical coating that is totally frictionless. It was created by Jalome Beacher, who is later fired from his position at Beemont Manufactuing. He robs banks to fund his operation, but later turns to District Attorney Tower, to help turn in his old boss Rockwall, who was laundering money for the mob.
