Synopsis:
This fourth volume in the saga of the Swamp Thing finds the man-monster interacting with Deadman, the Phantom Stranger, the Spectre, and the Demon as he continues on his journey of self-discovery. Traveling through the horrors of a haunted house, the improbabilities of the afterlife, the depths of hell and the heights of heaven, the Swamp Thing continues his evolution from a simple monster into a powerful elemental being with a potential to exceed the bonds of the Earth itself.

The fourth collection of the second Swamp Thing comic book series. All reprinted material was written by Alan Moore. Stephen Bissette and Jon Totleben illustrated about half of the material. Stan Woch contributed pencil work for four issues. Ron Randall and Alfredo Alcala each inked two issues. Randall also helped Totleben on portion of a third issue. Rick Veitch and Tom Mandrake contributed to #50.
Issue #46 tied in to the limited series event Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The collection’s cover by Jon Totleben was originally used for the cover of Swamp Thing #157 from 1995.
