Tired of Spider-man meddling in his affairs, the Rose hires an assassin known as the Puma to eliminate Spidey permanently! Meanwhile, Mary Jane Watson makes a surprising re-entry to Peter Parker's life, as strange happenings related to his new costume continue to occur. Then when on patrol, Spider-man is brutally attacked by the Puma and left nearly unconscious in the Puma's brutal hands!
