Synopsis:
Tony Stark and Wonder Man are touring a steel plant, which Stark is considering buying. There, an employee named Joe Conroy, who has a chip of Thor's hammer which he keeps as a memento, is deliberately pushed into a vat of molten metal. Back at Avengers Mansion, the Avengers decide that since the court ruled in their favor, and they are no longer restricted to seven members, to enlarge their membership. Falcon suggests that they call Hawkeye back, as a peace offering. They also decide to invite Yellowjacket back. Falcon is unable to get a hold of Hawkeye, and Hank Pym declines membership. Wanda says that she must leave for a while to sort things out on her own. Meanwhile, a creature emerges from the block of steel which the employee was pushed into. Wonder Man names him inferno. He defeats Wonder Man and Iron Man. Wonder Man sends a distress call to the Avengers.
