Fill-in issue. Captain America, Black Panther, and Iron Man are lounging at Avenger Mansion, when they are attacked by an armored man. They eventually defeat him, then find that he is a rich industrialist, Jason Beere, who is dying of a heart disease, and he has rigged four nuclear bombs to detonate when his heart stops beating, and they are powerful enough to destroy all life on earth. Going through his notes, Iron Man is able to find the location of three of them. Captain America retrieves one from an Aztec ruin, guarded by natives, Black Panther retrieves one from the Arctic, after fighting a polar bear, and Iron Man retrieves a third hidden in a Moscow museum, after reasoning with the Russians. Iron Man then deduces that the fourth bomb is attached to the man's heart, and wil detonate when he dies. They cannot diffuse it surgically. They put him in a Tony Stark owned cryogenic chamber, and slow his heart down, but keep him alive. He will live indefinitely in this chamber.
