Issue Tagline: A Champion Gone Mad! / Neither Spidey Nor The Avenging Angel Can Stem The Iceman's Fury! Cold Rage, Swift Doom!

Coda to The Champions

Spider-Man and Angel attempt to subdue Iceman, whose mind is under the control of Clarke Stuart/Rampage. The battle wages throughout the Champions HQ and into the streets of Los Angeles.

The Cupid-infused closing pages 15 and 16 serve to show Flash and Sha Shan together and to introduce a new supporting player, ESU student Holly Gillis. While flinging a frisbee (at Flash's head!), she meets and flirts with Hector Ayala AKA The White Tiger, who will also become a recurring character in both his identities.

Page 17 shows a shocking prison escape that almost crashes the jetliner flying Peter Parker home to NY. Parker notes the lightning flash struck the plane from below, not above. This sets the stage for the conflict of coming issues.

NOTE: On page 11, panel 3 the name "Eric Johnson" can be seen on a store sign in the background, a common technique by background inkers to sneak in a credit (a clever gimmick elevated into an art form by Tony Mortellaro).
