Going Rogue

Synopsis:
Gambit assumes that Rogue has been avoiding him because she is having a secret affair with Campbell--and despite her insistence to the contrary, he takes a swing at the other man. But due to his blindness, he hits Rogue instead of Campbell. Distraught that he has struck the woman he loves, he runs from the hotel--right into the arms of Rogue's dream-double, whom he can miraculously see. She is being pursued by dream-wraiths, and thinking that she is his Rogue, Gambit follows her--right into the Far Banks.
Back at the hotel, Campbell explains everything: he is in fact not human--he is a mutant dream, who came into existence when his mother dreamt she was giving birth. Able to enter the dreams of others and the larger, collective dreamscapes of whole groups of people, CAmpbell first stumbled onto the Far Banks when he was a child, and discovered that some kind of malevolent force was using up all the dream-matter. Now this force has caused a breach in the Far Banks that is permitting dream-wraiths to wreak havoc in the real world. The only person who has a chance of stopping this force, Campbell says, is Rogue. Together, they open a portal to the Far Banks to confront the force that is tearing the Far Banks apart...Rogue's long-lost mother.
