Letters Column: Transmissions

Optimus Prime unveils the latest defense for The Ark: Omega Supreme, a massive autobot designed and built by Grapple. But Omega Supreme is composed of multiple components all built to function together, and he currently operates imperfectly. Prime puts together a plan to stage an attack on a new Decepticon base with the hopes of drawing out the Constructicons and observing/recording their transformation into Devastator. The information gathered would be used to make Omega Supreme as effective as the multi-part Decepticon weapon.

Grimlock, however, has different ideas and leads his Dinobots away in protest of Prime's tactics. Despite the loss of a significant amount of their attack force, the Autobots leave on the offensive.

When Soundwave informs Megatron of the assault on the decepticon base, Megatron decides this is a perfect time for a counter-offensive against the Ark itself only to discover Omega Supreme's impressive offensive and defensive abilities. The guardian wipes out seven of Megatron's troops, forcing Megatron to retreat. In the meantime, Prime's attack is successful in drawing out Devastator and the information on Devastator's combination is recorded; the Autobots retreat, but a final rocket attack by Ravage blows Skids off the road and into a nearby gorge; the Autobots are forced to leave the fallen warrior behind.

1st appearance of Omega Supreme.
