The Dragon King's plan is in its endgame; he has seized control of the minds of the teenagers of the midwest, including the Star-Spangled Kid. Dragon King commands Stars to destroy S.T.R.I.P.E. and they fight it out. Meanwhile, Shining Knight escapes from his prison and draws Dragon King's attention away from Stars by getting into an aerial battle with him and a dragon.

Stars finally manages to snap out of it and overpowers the scanners before killing Pat. Stars is then faced with fighting Shiv, but before long Justin destroys the mind control device by allowing Dragon King to fall on it from above.

With everything destroyed Shiv weeps over failing her father, but is then propositioned by Johnny Sorrow to join his team. Back at home, Flash (I) arrives to take Courtney away on a JSA adventure, Barbara announces that she's pregnant and Courtney's father appears at the door.
